New Zealand Hospital Hospital has a reputation for being an all-inclusive hospital, but a new survey has found that the hospital has a “negative” image.
The study from the Hospital Research Council of New Zealand found that 74 per cent of respondents thought that the Royal Wellington Hospital was “too busy” to accept new patients.
In a separate survey, the Royal Auckland Hospital had an “unhealthy” image among respondents, with 43 per cent saying they would prefer to see a different doctor.
The Royal Wellington has been accused of being overly busy in recent years, with a number of high-profile incidents including the deaths of three patients and a series of fatal incidents involving staff.
New Zealand Hospital has also had a number in recent months of allegations of poor quality of care.
